Welcome to Lasswade Gymnastics Club – the resident club at Midlothian School of Gymnastics.
We are a non-profit making Club and are run by a management committee consisting of volunteer members, mainly parents of current participating children.
The aim of the Club is to provide a safe, effective and child friendly environment in which members can participate in competitive artistic gymnastic activities under the guidance of appropriately qualified coaches.
We operate an open philosophy and we encourage and value parental involvement in the Club and invite you to complete a Volunteer Agreement Form which is available on request.
Our gymnasts are organised into training groups according to their age, experience and individual needs and coaches will be pleased to discuss the training programme and your child’s needs with you.
Our coaches are all British Gymnastics qualified coaches at the appropriate level and have been screened for their suitability to work with children. A Welfare Officer (Child Protection Co-ordinator) has been appointed by the Club to deal with any safety issues – details of the current Welfare Officer (CPC) are displayed on the Club notice board.
Arrangements should be made to escort your child to and from training sessions and events. We would appreciate your child arriving on time for training and being collected promptly at the end of their session.
Training times allocated and fees required are advised each training term. The registration fee due on joining and in September of each year includes Club and Scottish Gymnastics membership and the appropriate insurance for your child and the Club.
Participants are required to be suitably dressed in gymnastic attire.
The Club has adopted the Scottish Gymnastics policies for Child Protection, Equity and Codes of Conduct and all officials, coaches, members and parents must adhere to these policies. A copy is available in the Club Office at all times.
We hope that your child will enjoy gymnastics and being a member of Lasswade Gymnastics Club.
